“TUI Reveals Top Easter Getaways for Sunshine Seekers”

Date:

As winter seems to have lingered longer than usual this year, many regions have finally started to see a glimpse of sunshine after enduring months of continuous rain and gloomy skies. With Easter approaching, a time known for its unpredictable weather in the UK, numerous individuals are eager to escape to sunnier destinations for a brief getaway.

Fortunately, TUI has compiled a list of top Easter getaways offering optimal weather conditions, utilizing historical data on rainfall, wind speed, and temperature in early April to determine a Good Weather Score. Leading the rankings is a destination just a little over four hours away from the UK, anticipated to experience highs of 19°C in the next few weeks.

According to TUI’s assessments, Turkey traditionally boasts the most favorable weather conditions during the Easter holidays, typically providing visitors with average temperatures of 18°C and minimal rainfall. Marmaris in Turkey emerges as the top destination for ideal Easter weather conditions, with temperatures often reaching 19°C, complemented by dry weather and gentle breezes. Situated in southwest Turkey on the Turkish Riviera, Marmaris is a vibrant port town featuring attractions like a marina, bustling grand bazaar, and historic sites such as the 16th-century Marmaris Castle.

Marmaris is renowned for its picturesque sandy beaches alongside turquoise waters, with options like Marmaris Long Beach (Uzunyali) stretching approximately six miles from the city center, offering a lively promenade lined with hotels, restaurants, and bars. For a more serene beach experience, İçmeler Beach, located just south of the city, presents sandy coves and stunning mountain views.

Greece secures the second spot on the list for favorable Easter weather, boasting mean temperatures around 16°C and extended sunny days. Meanwhile, Bulgaria ranks third for its pleasant and well-balanced climate, akin to Turkey, with light winds and minimal rainfall. Bulgaria has become a popular hiking destination, particularly around the Rila and Pirin mountain ranges, which offer a mix of easy trails and challenging climbs.

Bulgaria is also celebrated for its beautiful beaches along the Black Sea coast, featuring over 200 options catering to diverse vacation preferences. Sunny Beach is famed for its vibrant nightlife and affordable drink offerings, while Varna stands out as a historic and cultural center with soft golden sand beaches and clear blue waters.

For those planning an Easter escape, TUI’s holiday weather guide provides detailed weather breakdowns by month for various tourist hotspots, aiding in making informed travel decisions.
