I was pleasantly surprised by the therapists’ ability to induce deep relaxation and eliminate stress completely, creating the most enjoyable spa experience I’ve ever had.
Located just a short walk from Liverpool Lime Street station, the Lush store on Church Street houses a spacious spa on its top floor, offering a range of exceptional treatments. The ‘Rewilding’ facial treatment I chose was outstanding, despite my past reservations about facials.
The spa session included a 50-minute sculpting facial massage, accompanied by a personalized consultation to address any concerns and explain the treatment process. Utilizing hot and cold therapy, facial massage techniques, and lymphatic massage, the treatment aims to enhance skin appearance and rejuvenation, set to a unique soundtrack of nature folk songs.
The Lush team has developed this facial treatment to deliver optimal results with minimal skin interference, ensuring a radiant post-treatment glow without triggering skin issues, even for those with sensitive skin like mine.
The facial procedure commences with a gentle double cleanse using Lush’s signature cleansers, followed by the application of the Drop of Hope soap for a cleansing foam enriched with moisturizing rapeseed oil. The Ayesha face mask, incorporating asparagus and dark patchouli oil, is then applied to firm and brighten the skin.
Throughout the treatment, the therapist focuses on releasing tension in the neck and head through firm-pressure massage techniques, preparing the skin for the Full of Grace facial serum application, which contains rejuvenating ingredients like illipe butter and portobello mushroom.
To complete the facial, uplifting cold therapy is applied using a witch hazel and peppermint jelly mask to soothe and refresh the skin, followed by the application of a moisturizer enriched with cold-pressed organic oils and fresh fruit juices for deep skin rejuvenation.
Each step of the treatment was a delightful experience, providing a profound sense of relaxation throughout the process. The spa environment, complete with cozy duvets and heated blankets, further enhanced the comfort, making it feel like a personalized and luxurious experience.
After the treatment, guests are encouraged to take their time to fully relax before being offered a customized drink in a special relaxation room. The post-treatment experience extends to the Lush Shampoo bar, where personalized hair care services are provided, including custom shampoo and conditioner blends and styling.
The array of services offered at the Lush spa goes beyond traditional retail, providing a serene and pampering escape within a high street setting. Despite the premium pricing, the attention to detail and personalized service make it a worthwhile indulgence, showcasing the dedication of the staff to ensure a memorable experience for every visitor.
