In newly surfaced images from the Epstein files, former prince Andrew, Peter Mandelson, and Jeffrey Epstein are captured together for the first time. The photos, released by the US Department of Justice, show the trio gathered around a table with patriotic mugs. Mandelson and Andrew are clad in white bathrobes, while Epstein sports a shirt and jumper.
Although all three men had connections with the late Epstein, this marks the first visual evidence of their association. The exact date and place of the photograph remain unclear, but another image featuring Mandelson in a similar robe was found in a file labeled “Epstein birthday book.”
Amid recent calls for Mandelson to repay a £75,000 settlement received upon his dismissal as US ambassador, government officials are urging him to return the sum, which he initially sought to be £500,000. Scottish Secretary Douglas Alexander emphasized the importance of compensating victims of Epstein’s crimes.
Revelations from the Epstein files reveal that Mandelson, during his tenure in Gordon Brown’s cabinet, disclosed confidential government information to Epstein. Mandelson also corresponded with Epstein during the latter’s legal troubles, offering words of encouragement and sharing sensitive bailout information.
Following public scrutiny of his relationship with Epstein, Mandelson resigned from the House of Lords and the Labour Party but retains his peerage. Plans are underway to introduce legislation allowing for the removal of Mandelson’s title and potentially other peers who violate regulations. Prime Minister Keir Starmer is pushing for swift action in this matter.
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, stripped of his royal titles and facing allegations of public office misconduct, has remained out of the public eye since his arrest. While investigations continue, he has not been formally charged.
