“Sky Customers Get Free HBO Max: Game of Thrones, Friends & More”

Date:

Sky customers in the UK are in for a treat as HBO Max, the latest streaming service, has been launched. Those with a Sky Ultimate TV package can now enjoy HBO Max for free, which offers a wide range of popular titles such as Game of Thrones, Friends, Dune, Succession, and Young Sheldon, saving them over £50 annually.

Sky confirmed that subscribers with Sky Ultimate TV, Sky Stream, Sky Glass, or Sky Q with the right package will receive HBO Max Basic with Ads as part of their subscription. This service includes a vast collection of HBO dramas, including favorites like Succession and The Wire, as well as new Max Originals like The Pitt and a variety of Warner Bros. films.

To access HBO Max, customers can simply launch the HBO Max app from the homepage on their Sky Glass, Sky Stream, or Sky Q devices. For those not on the Sky Ultimate TV plan, they can switch to it starting at £22 per month, which includes over 130 Sky channels, Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, and the upcoming Hayu service.

Sophia Ahmad, Sky’s Chief Consumer Officer, mentioned that this integration of Sky, Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, and Hayu in a single subscription marks a significant development for Sky and NOW Entertainment. NOW Entertainment customers will also have access to HBO Max at no extra cost within the NOW app.

For non-Sky subscribers interested in HBO Max, they can sign up directly on the HBO Max website, with Standard with Ads plans starting at £5.99 per month.
