After repeated complaints to Livv Housing, the property management company, about the kitchen’s condition since their move in early 2025, renovations finally began in February. However, the builders vanished midway through the work, leaving Heather and her partner, Anthony Johnson, in a dire situation. Promises of a return date for the completion of the repairs were repeatedly postponed, causing further distress to the couple.
Despite their pleas for assistance, both Livv Housing and the contractors have been evasive in taking responsibility, leaving Heather and Anthony stranded without proper kitchen facilities. The unresolved situation has taken a toll on their well-being, with Heather’s health condition worsening due to the stress and lack of basic necessities.
Heather’s attempts to seek temporary rehousing from Livv Housing were unsuccessful, as she was redirected to Liverpool Council’s homeless services, further exacerbating her emotional and physical challenges. The ongoing struggle to get the necessary repairs done has left them feeling abandoned and helpless, with no immediate resolution in sight.
In response to the escalating situation, Livv Housing Group acknowledged the issues raised and assured that efforts are being made to expedite the completion of the kitchen renovations. They emphasized the importance of maintaining direct communication with the affected customer and providing regular updates during the ongoing repair process.
