Luke Littler has made it clear that he has no intention of following his friend Angry Ginge into the jungle, even after the YouTuber’s victorious stint on a reality TV show centered around a campfire.
The darts champion, Littler, who is set to defend his title at Alexandra Palace, was quick to congratulate Angry Ginge, also known as Morgan Burtwistle, on his recent win on “I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.” However, Littler firmly stated that he will not participate in the nerve-wracking bushtucker trials, refusing to endure challenges like consuming kangaroo anus or crocodile genitalia for entertainment.
The 18-year-old from Warrington expressed his reluctance, emphasizing that the idea of being far from home, eating unappetizing food, and enduring extreme conditions in the jungle is not appealing to him. Witnessing the trials on TV solidified his decision, especially after seeing the challenges faced by other contestants like rapper Aitch. Littler made it clear to his girlfriend that he would never subject himself to such experiences.
Burtwistle, the 24-year-old crowned King of the Jungle, triumphed after spending three weeks in the Australian rainforest. In the final bushtucker trial, Angry Ginge faced challenging tasks, including having snakes and critters around his head in the “Helmet of Hell” stunt, while his fellow contestant Tom Read Wilson tackled eating unconventional foods like camel’s brain and pig’s reproductive organ.
After celebrating his friend’s win in Australia, Littler joined Manchester United’s fans at Molineux to watch the team’s victory over Wolves. The world No.1 darts player was even spotted on TV cameras seated next to Rick McGagh, the head of fan engagement for the football club. United’s captain, Bruno Fernandes, acknowledged Littler’s presence at the match with a darts emoji in response to his tweet about enjoying his first away day.
