Donald Trump has once again taken to social media to criticize former supporters within the MAGA movement. The President labeled individuals such as Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens, Megyn Kelly, and Alex Jones as “nut jobs” for their public dissent regarding his stance on the Iran conflict.
Recent polling indicates a decline in Trump’s popularity among his core supporters who championed his ‘America first’ agenda during the re-election campaign. Several prominent conservative media personalities, including Carlson and Kelly from Fox News, have openly criticized Trump’s handling of the Iran situation.
Kelly notably rebuked Trump for his inflammatory rhetoric towards Iran, while Carlson condemned the President’s Easter message as distasteful. In response, Trump fired back at Carlson, questioning his education and mental state, and criticized Owens for spreading false claims about the First Lady of France.
Describing Carlson, Kelly, Owens, and Jones as ‘troublemakers’ with ‘low IQs,’ Trump accused them of seeking attention through provocative statements. This comes amidst Melania Trump’s public statement denouncing falsehoods connecting her to Jeffrey Epstein and asserting her legal victories against baseless accusations.
Melania reiterated that the allegations against her are unfounded and lacking in integrity, emphasizing her commitment to defending her reputation. Addressing reporters at the White House, she clarified that she has never associated with Epstein and stressed her legal team’s success in combating such slander.
In his online posts, Trump lambasted his critics as incompetent and irrelevant figures who have fallen out of favor in the media landscape. He dismissed their views as contrary to the MAGA movement and questioned their motives for challenging his leadership.
The President asserted that MAGA supporters stand by him, contrasting his vision with the purported shortcomings of his detractors. Trump highlighted his administration’s focus on strengthening America and preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, positioning himself as the champion of American interests on the global stage.
