Plaid Cymru claims to champion Wales, yet their actions do not consistently address Welsh citizens’ concerns when it truly matters.
When faced with decisions such as safeguarding retail and emergency personnel or advocating for Hillsborough families, they opted against stronger protective measures and justice, respectively. Their inclination towards conflict with Westminster often supersedes their commitment to fairness.
This brand of politics is not aligned with the values held by the majority in Wales. While it may be tempting to resort to empty promises and superficial rhetoric, I choose to remain authentic in my electoral pledges, focusing on achievable goals.
Citizens desire a Senedd that prioritizes advancing healthcare, reducing living costs, and fostering a robust economy, rather than being entangled in perpetual debates about Wales’ position within the UK.
Our proposed initiatives aim to alleviate financial burdens on families. We plan to limit individual bus fares to £2 across Wales, maintain £1 fares for young individuals, and offer free travel for those aged 60 and above, thereby enhancing financial well-being on a weekly basis.
Introducing 20,000 new childcare spots, starting from nine months of age, will facilitate parental employment and engagement. Additionally, we pledge not to increase income taxes, recognizing the financial strains faced by families.
