Former US President Donald Trump issued a strong warning on his social media platform, Truth Social, threatening to strike Iran’s power facilities and bridges if the country did not comply with his demands regarding the Strait of Hormuz. Trump’s ultimatum, set to expire on March 26, urged Iran to open the strait, or face severe consequences. He emphasized that the forthcoming attacks on Iran’s infrastructure would be unprecedented.
In a fiery message on Truth Social, Trump declared that Iran would face a combined assault on its power plants and bridges, labeling the day as “Power Plant Day” and “Bridge Day.” He reiterated his demand for Iran to open the strait, cautioning of dire repercussions if they failed to do so.
Trump’s aggressive stance towards Iran continued as he threatened to unleash “hell” on the country unless it complied with his demands related to the Strait of Hormuz. He also claimed that the US had eliminated several Iranian military leaders.
Highlighting the significance of the Strait of Hormuz, a vital route for global oil and gas transportation, Trump pointed out that Iran’s blockade of the strait had caused a surge in fuel prices worldwide since the conflict began in late February.
The deadline given by Trump to Iran is set to conclude soon, with expectations that it will expire on Monday. Meanwhile, US special forces successfully rescued a downed pilot in Iran, a mission Trump hailed as one of the most daring Search and Rescue Operations in US history.
Trump praised the rescued pilot, a highly respected Colonel, who was injured during the operation. Describing the risky nature of the rescue mission, Trump emphasized the bravery and skill required to carry out such operations deep in enemy territory.
