“Farage’s Reform UK Party Sparks PMQs Drama”

Date:

Nigel Farage’s Reform UK members left the House of Commons today after a heated exchange during PMQs. The right-wing party exited the chamber promptly after Keir Starmer criticized Farage, calling him an “absolute disgrace.” Among the departing members was Robert Jenrick, a recent addition to the Reform party, while Labour MPs jeered and bid them farewell.

During the exchange, Farage posed a question about small boats, to which Starmer responded by highlighting the party’s previous opposition to granting law enforcement counter-terrorism powers for addressing the issue. Starmer criticized Farage for lacking judgment and consistency in his stances, particularly referencing a recent policy reversal.

Starmer further criticized Farage for promising lower taxes while observing a significant council tax increase in Reform-led councils. He specifically mentioned Worcestershire, where Farage had expressed regret over taking control of the council. Starmer accused Reform of exploiting problems instead of seeking solutions, labeling their approach as disgraceful.

Following the verbal confrontation, Farage, Jenrick, and Suella Braverman were seen exiting the Commons chamber. Starmer also announced during the session that donations in cryptocurrencies to political parties would be restricted, condemning leaders who make divisive statements for financial gain.
