Tiafoe Upsets Auger-Aliassime in Cincinnati Open

Montreal’s Felix Auger-Aliassime faced a 6-3, 6-4 defeat against American Frances Tiafoe in the fourth round of the Cincinnati Open on Wednesday evening. Despite serving 13 aces, the second-seeded Canadian struggled with 37 unforced errors, while Tiafoe, seeded 17th, committed only 16 unforced errors and secured the win in an hour and 40 minutes.

In the doubles third-round match, Canada’s Gabriela Dabrowski and Barbora Krejcikova from Czechia lost 6-3, 1-6, 10-7 to the Czech pair of Linda Noskova and Marie Bouzkova. Dabrowski, hailing from Ottawa, usually partners with Luisa Stefani, but the Brazilian player has been dealing with an elbow injury in recent weeks.
