Montreal Canadiens’ veteran goaltender Carey Price is set to be honored for his exceptional career in the NHL at the Bell Centre, the arena where he has spent his entire 15-year career.
The team announced that Price will return to the Bell Centre on November 10 to celebrate his upcoming induction into the Hall of Fame, scheduled to take place the day before.
Price will join the prestigious list of 62 former Canadiens players who have been inducted into the Hall of Fame. Furthermore, he will have his name added to the Bell Centre’s ring of honour, which recognizes former players who have achieved greatness in the sport.
Price, a seven-time all-star and the fifth overall pick in the 2005 NHL Entry draft, holds the Canadiens’ record for most games played and victories as a goaltender. Over his career, he maintained an impressive 2.51 goals-against average and a .917 save percentage.
The celebration for Price’s accomplishments will take place during a game against the Minnesota Wild.
The Canadiens are set to begin their pre-season on September 19, with the regular season opener scheduled for September 29 in Toronto against the Maple Leafs.
