“Co-op Unveils Online Personalized Offers for Members”

Date:

Co-op has introduced a significant update for its numerous online shopping members. Co-op members can now benefit from their personalized weekly offers when making online purchases, allowing them to save money on their orders. Previously, these offers were solely accessible in physical stores.

The supermarket has stated that shoppers have the potential to save more than £80 annually by utilizing personalized offers, which consist of discounts and deals on items they frequently purchase. Furthermore, Co-op has made it possible for any funds added to a membership card to be redeemed online, including game rewards and bonus offers.

Co-op members can now enjoy personalized offers when shopping on shop.coop, excluding purchases made through third-party delivery apps like Deliveroo or Just Eat. Last year, Co-op expanded its personalized offers by 67%, offering over 700 different deals to its members. These personalized offers feature popular brands such as Huel, Pop Chips, Actimel, Pilgrams Choice, and Vimto.

Additionally, Co-op recently announced that member discounts are now accessible to shoppers on platforms like Just Eat, Uber Eats, Deliveroo, and Co-op’s own online store. Rachel Halter, Customer Director at Co-op, highlighted that the implementation of these weekly member perks online aligns with Co-op’s dedication to providing value to its members. The company aims to increase its membership base to eight million by 2030.

Co-op currently boasts approximately seven million members, with a membership fee of £1. The recent developments follow Co-op’s announcement of 18 new or upgraded stores set to open in the initial quarter of 2026. The first new store, located in Willowbrook Park, Didcot, marks the beginning of these expansion plans.

Furthermore, Co-op plans to generate thousands of new apprenticeships in the coming years, with a commitment to create 7,000 matched apprenticeships by 2030 through its Levy Share service. This initiative allows levy-paying employers to transfer unused apprenticeship levy funds to various organizations.

Since its inception four years ago, the scheme has already matched over 3,800 apprenticeships, with a focus on providing opportunities in deprived communities and the care sector.
