One individual has died and another is in critical condition after an incident involving an active shooter at an airport.
The Elko Regional Airport in Nevada, USA, has shut down due to an active shooter situation on April 13, according to reports.
Lieutenant Shane Daz from the Elko Police Department stated that they were alerted about an active shooter at 12:30 pm local time on Monday. Upon arrival, one person was discovered deceased.
According to KSL TV, the deceased individual is a juvenile.
The Elko Police Department released a statement saying, “Police are examining a crime scene at the Elko Airport. The airport is currently closed to all traffic, and updates on its reopening will be provided.”
An investigation into the incident is currently ongoing.
