Investors Sue Selena Gomez Over Mental Health Startup

Date:

Singer and actress Selena Gomez is facing a lawsuit from investors alleging fraud for not fulfilling obligations to develop and market her mental health startup. The investors put in around $1.2 million in Wondermind Global, a venture launched in 2021 to enhance users’ mental well-being. In the lawsuit filed in federal court in Delaware, investors claim they were promised Gomez, a prominent figure with over 500 million social media followers, would actively participate in the company’s growth as the marketing head. However, they argue that Gomez and other company executives failed to meet commitments, such as building a mobile app, despite signing a contract. The lawsuit states that there were significant shortcomings in the company’s operations, including delays in paying employees and vendors. Gomez’s representative did not provide an immediate response to the lawsuit allegations. The investors claim they were unaware of the company’s issues until a news report highlighted them in September 2025. They are seeking to recover their investments along with legal expenses.
