“IRAN TARGETS MAJOR CORPORATIONS AS ‘TERRORIST SPY ENTITIES'”

Date:

Iran’s most formidable military force has labeled 18 major corporations as “terrorist spy entities” and designated them as “legitimate targets.”

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) identified several American multinational companies in the technology and industrial sectors, such as Google, Apple, Intel, and Boeing, as being “engaged in terrorist activities.” The statement was conveyed by Iran’s semi-official Tasnim News Agency. Among the 18 listed companies, only two are non-American and are owned by entities in the UAE.

A statement released on Tuesday afternoon urged employees of these companies to immediately distance themselves from their workplaces to ensure their safety. It warned that these companies should anticipate the destruction of their facilities in retaliation for any terrorist acts in Iran, commencing from 8 pm Tehran time on Wednesday, April 1st.

On Monday, US President Donald Trump issued a threat of widespread destruction targeting Iran’s energy resources and critical infrastructure, including desalination plants, if a resolution to the conflict with Tehran is not reached promptly.

The threat encompassed Iran’s Kharg Island, which Trump implied could be seized by US troops in an interview with the Financial Times on the same day.

Trump restated on Monday that negotiations are ongoing between the US and Iranian parliamentary speaker Mohammad-Bagher Qalibaf. However, the former IRGC commander refuted claims that Iran is in discussions with the US, asserting that talks facilitated by Pakistan were merely a guise for American troop deployments.

Meanwhile, the US and Israel launched a fresh round of attacks on Iran on Monday. Tehran targeted a crucial water and power facility in Kuwait, while Saudi Arabia and the UAE intercepted missile strikes from Iran.

The casualties from the ongoing conflict include over 1,900 individuals in Iran killed in US-Israeli attacks, as well as 1,200 fatalities in Lebanon due to Israeli strikes. Additionally, 19 people in Israel, 13 US military members, and various individuals in the Gulf region have lost their lives. The war has also led to the displacement of millions in Iran and Lebanon.
