A passenger has passed away during a 12-day cruise from Australia to New Zealand. Authorities were alerted to the unexpected death aboard the Anthem of the Seas vessel at approximately 1:40 am on Wednesday, March 25. The circumstances of the passenger’s demise are currently under investigation.
The ship, which was carrying over 4,000 passengers and about 1,300 crew members, departed from Sydney on March 22 and was en route to Waitangi in the Bay of Islands, with an expected arrival date of April 1. Royal Caribbean, the cruise operator, was contacted for a statement by the Daily Mail.
