A tragic incident has unfolded as a popular television personality’s untimely demise raises numerous unanswered questions for her grieving family. Authorities have verified the identity of the deceased woman found partially unclothed in the Canary Islands as Annabella Lovas, who transitioned from reality TV fame to influencer status after her stint on the Hungarian version of the Bachelor in 2021. Following her rise to social media stardom, Lovas relocated to the Canary Islands.
However, Lovas’ life took a sorrowful turn as she battled cancer, leading to reported psychological struggles. Initially reported missing in November 2024 and labeled as a “vulnerable person,” she was later located by authorities in an apartment in the resort town of Playa del Ingles and confirmed to be safe.
Several months later, on March 6 the following year, a body was discovered in a natural pool near Berriel Ravine, inland from the coast, following heavy storms in the region a month prior. The deceased woman, found unclothed from the waist down, presented challenges for forensic experts due to the deterioration of her fingertips during the estimated three-week period she was submerged.
Despite extensive search efforts using drones and helicopters in the rugged terrain, no traces of the woman’s belongings were found. Investigators noted the presence of distinctive tattoos as the sole identifying feature upon making the tragic discovery. Police Chief Pablo Fernandez Sala described the arduous process of identifying the deceased woman as “difficult and rigorous.”
Detailing the challenges faced in obtaining a positive DNA match, Sala explained that sending the tooth mold through Interpol yielded conclusive results. While the exact cause of death remains unconfirmed, authorities speculate that Lovas may have succumbed due to financial struggles, ending up destitute on the streets. It is believed she passed away elsewhere on Gran Canaria before her body was carried by storm floods to the remote location where she was discovered.
Notably, Lovas’ Instagram account seems to have been deactivated, adding to the mystery surrounding her tragic fate.
