“Trump Prefers Statue in Venezuela Over Addressing Gas Prices”

Date:

In a recent cabinet meeting, President Donald Trump expressed more interest in the possibility of having a statue erected in his honor in Venezuela than in addressing the rising gas prices, a consequence of the escalating tensions with Iran.

The surge in petrol prices, a direct result of the Iran conflict, has become a significant concern impacting Trump’s approval ratings, which recently hit an all-time low of 36%, marking the lowest approval rating of any president in history.

During the meeting, Interior Secretary Doug Bergum attempted to discuss the influx of Venezuelan oil into U.S. refineries, aiming to highlight the positive impact on gas prices. However, Trump redirected the conversation towards the potential statue, expressing his belief that Venezuela might honor him with a statue as a symbol of liberation.

Despite Bergum’s efforts to shift the focus back to the oil industry’s developments, Trump remained fixated on the idea of a statue in his honor, dismissing the discussion on oil production and gas prices.

In a separate part of the meeting, Trump criticized the UK’s aircraft carriers as inadequate, labeling them as mere “toys” compared to U.S. military assets. He also criticized NATO for not providing sufficient support during the conflict in the Middle East, indicating his frustration with their delayed involvement.
