“Teen TikTok Feud Leads to Fatal Stabbing”

Date:

Two adolescents have been convicted of the brutal slaying of a 15-year-old youth in broad daylight following a confrontation instigated by a TikTok video. Mohanad Goobe lost his life last September after being fatally stabbed during a significant disturbance in Moss Side, Manchester, on September 15, 2025. The court identified the two teenagers as Boy A (16) and Boy B (15), while a third individual, Boy C (14), was found not guilty of murder but guilty of manslaughter.

During the trial at Bolton Crown Court, it was revealed that Mohanad had engaged in discussions about a fight between two boys triggered by a TikTok video in late August of the previous year. This led to a planned rematch on September 15, where over 20 individuals gathered at the junction of Moss Lane East and Monton Street.

Prosecutor Alex Leach KC presented CCTV footage to the jurors showing the moment Mohanad was assaulted, dragged down, kicked, and ultimately stabbed in the chest. He succumbed to his injuries later the same day at a hospital, as reported by the Manchester Evening News.

Prior to the fatal incident, Boy A had previously engaged in a fight with one of Mohanad’s associates on August 25 following a dispute sparked by a TikTok video. Plans for a rematch were set in motion, with discussions held over Snapchat on August 30, including references to a previous altercation involving Boy A wielding a knife against Mohanad’s friend.

The escalation of tensions was evident in Mohanad’s messages referring to the possession of knives by the opposing group. The court was informed that Boy A had orchestrated a group chat involving Boys B and C, with plans solidifying for a confrontation after school on September 15. References to obtaining a knife for the confrontation were found in Boy B’s communications, indicating his involvement in the acquisition of weapons.

On the day of the tragic event, Boy A skipped school and joined Boy B, who recorded a video displaying knives and sheaths on his bed. CCTV footage later captured the two groups converging at Whitworth Park, with the altercation culminating in the fatal stabbing of Mohanad at the junction of Monton Street.

The sentencing for the defendants, whose identities remain undisclosed for legal reasons, is scheduled for May 21.
