Freeview stated, “On May 20, 2026, certain broadcasters are implementing channel adjustments. Users must retune to keep their TV sets updated with the latest channels and TV guide information.”
Among the changes, Hobbycraft TV on channel 97 has been rebranded as Shop Unlimited, while Great! Romance Mix on channel 61 has been replaced by Great! TV +1. Additionally, Great! Movies has shifted from channel 61 to channel 62, with Great! TV +1 now occupying channel 61.
Freeview emphasized the evolving nature of channels on its platform, as individual providers make decisions to relocate, add, or remove channels. The platform continues to ensure a diverse and engaging content lineup for viewers.
If the updates are not automatically reflected on the TV, manual retuning may be necessary. To retune the TV:
– Press the menu button on the TV or set-top box remote
– Navigate to “set-up”, “installation”, “update”, or a similar option
– Enter the password if prompted (try “1234” or “0000”)
– Select “first-time installation”, “factory reset”, “full retune”, or “default settings”
– Confirm the deletion of existing channels if required
– The retune process will initiate automatically
– Save any newly found channels during the scan
