According to a source speaking to The Sun, Prince Edward’s visit marked the first and only family interaction since Andrew’s departure from Royal Lodge. The source added that Andrew’s daughters and ex-wife have distanced themselves as well.
Buckingham Palace refrained from commenting on the situation when approached by the Mirror. The Duke of Edinburgh, however, was quick to address the allegations against his brother during a summit earlier this year. Responding to questions about Andrew’s involvement in the Epstein scandal, the Duke emphasized the importance of remembering the victims, acknowledging the seriousness of the situation.
The release of documents by the US Department of Justice shed light on Andrew’s exchanges with Epstein, including an invitation for the disgraced financier to visit Buckingham Palace.
