The father of Formula 1 champion Max Verstappen, Jos was participating in the rally alongside co-driver Jesper Vermeulen when their car veered off track and crashed into a nearby tree.
Luckily, there were no major injuries reported, with Verstappen confirming his well-being to GPblog, stating he is “all good.” The car had existing damage from a prior incident during the competition’s fourth stage.
Despite the setback, Verstappen displayed resilience, climbing to third place by the end of Saturday’s events before ultimately having to retire following the crash on Sunday.
