Max Power Mining, headquartered in Regina, has initiated drilling for its third well at the Lawson Complex in southern Saskatchewan. The company aims to establish the world’s first large-scale commercial natural hydrogen system, potentially revolutionizing the energy sector with a new primary energy source.
Chad Levesque, the company’s president and director, emphasized the importance of hydrogen as a crucial component in various industrial processes, including ammonia production, petroleum refining, and transitioning towards cleaner energy sources. He highlighted the significance of sourcing hydrogen in an environmentally sustainable manner, underscoring the potential of naturally occurring hydrogen.
