A deadly missile strike by Russia claimed the lives of 10 individuals in a village located in Ukraine’s northeastern Kharkiv region, as reported by Ukrainian authorities. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy condemned the attack, emphasizing that it targeted a bustling area in Pechenihy, Kharkiv region, where a post office and stores are situated, surrounded by residential structures.
Zelenskyy shared images showing the aftermath of the attack, depicting a demolished building, burning cars, and emergency responders aiding injured individuals. He asserted that Ukraine will retaliate against the Russian assault. The governor of the region, Oleh Syniehubov, disclosed that 17 people sustained injuries during the incident.

As of now, there has been no official response from Russia regarding the attack. The strike resulted in damage to 10 private buildings, a café, a post office, a store, and at least seven cars, according to Syniehubov.
According to Ukraine’s Prosecutor General’s Office, initial findings indicate that Russia deployed two small Banderol cruise missiles during the assault. A local official informed public broadcaster Suspilne that the strikes primarily struck the central part of the village, where key establishments like the café, post office, and shops are located.
Significant Drone Offensive Launched by Ukraine
Concurrently, Ukraine launched a large-scale drone operation targeting Moscow and its environs early on Tuesday, as confirmed by the city’s mayor. This marked one of Kyiv’s most extensive air assaults on the region, with a total of 620 drones deployed.
Russian forces managed to down 180 of the drones over the Moscow region. Mayor Sergei Sobyanin reported that emergency services were actively responding to the crash sites, refraining from providing specific details on casualties or damages incurred.
The drone strikes struck various locations, including a warehouse belonging to the Russian e-commerce company Wildberries near Moscow, causing minor damages. Regional Governor Andrei Vorobyov mentioned that at least three individuals, including a 10-year-old girl, sustained injuries in the region due to the attacks.

Wildberries, a frequent target of Ukrainian attacks following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022, reported that drone debris struck a wall at their warehouse, resulting in minor damages. Additionally, several Russian-controlled regions, including Crimea, experienced heavy assaults from Ukraine.
