A British grandmother, Lisa Di Palma, tragically lost her life in Turkey while on vacation due to a fatal collision with a suspected drunk driver. The incident occurred as she was crossing a road to head to dinner during her stay in Fethiye. Lisa’s husband, Keith, recounted the heart-wrenching details at the Walthamstow Coroner’s Court, where he described the driver’s vehicle striking Lisa directly while narrowly missing him.
Despite immediate medical attention, Lisa succumbed to her injuries a week later. The driver, found to be significantly over the legal alcohol limit in Turkey, is set to face legal proceedings in the country.
