Fourth-ranked Felix Auger-Aliassime will lead the Canadian team in the upcoming second round of Davis Cup qualifiers set to take place in Quebec City. Tennis Canada announced that he will be accompanied by Gabriel Diallo from Montreal, Liam Draxl from Newmarket, Ontario, and Duncan Chan from Markham, Ontario.
Canada, currently placed 12th in the tournament, is scheduled to face off against sixth-ranked France in a best-of-five tie at the Videotron Centre. The winner of this match will secure a spot in the 2026 Davis Cup Finals scheduled for November.
In the previous round of qualifiers last February, Canada narrowly defeated Brazil with a 3-2 scoreline. On the other hand, France secured their spot in the second round by beating Slovakia 3-1 in their qualifier match.
