Iran Denies US Talks, Calls Claims “Fake News”

Date:

Iran’s parliament speaker, Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf, dismissed rumors of US-Iran talks as false information. Ghalibaf stated in a social media post that there have been no discussions with the US and criticized the use of fake news to manipulate financial and oil markets. He suggested that such tactics were an attempt to navigate the challenges faced by the US and Israel.

US President Donald Trump claimed on social media that productive talks had taken place between the US and Iran regarding resolving conflicts in the Middle East. However, Iran’s Fars News Agency refuted these claims, asserting that no negotiations had occurred. The Foreign Ministry spokesperson reiterated Iran’s stance on key issues related to ending the war.

Reports indicated that despite Trump’s announcement of extending deadlines and holding off on military actions, no formal negotiations had transpired. The situation led to market relief, with oil prices decreasing and stock prices increasing. The ongoing conflict has resulted in casualties on both sides, with significant human and material losses reported in Iran, Israel, and Lebanon.

The international community continues to monitor the situation closely as tensions persist in the region.
