A young teenager, Jayben Camacho, demonstrated remarkable bravery by saving the lives of three individuals in a tragic incident before his untimely passing. The Chandler Police Department reported that a pedestrian, identified as a student from Chandler High School, was hit by a vehicle while crossing outside a designated area near Arizona Avenue and Detroit Street on April 2.
Despite being rushed to a local hospital, Jayben succumbed to his injuries. The driver involved in the accident stayed at the scene and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
In a poignant gesture of kindness, Jayben’s father revealed that his son’s organs were donated to three recipients. His heart was given to a fellow teenager, his lungs to someone in need of a respirator, and parts of his liver to a 5-month-old child.
To support Jayben’s family during this difficult time, a GoFundMe page has been set up. The fundraiser describes Jayben as a beacon of light and emphasizes his legacy of generosity and impact on others. The family is facing emotional and financial challenges, including medical expenses and funeral costs, as they mourn the loss of their beloved son.
The GoFundMe campaign has already raised over $31,000 towards its $35,000 goal. Donations can be made to the fund to assist the Camacho family in their time of need.
