“$200K Up for Grabs in Riyadh Darts Challenge”

Date:

Luke Littler and other participants are gearing up for a shot at winning $200,000 (£149,000) by achieving a nine-dart finish coupled with a ‘golden bull’ at an upcoming event in Riyadh. This marks the debut of the World Series of Darts in Saudi Arabia, where eight PDC Tour players will face off against eight representatives from the Asian Tour in a lucrative two-day competition starting next week.

For any player who manages a nine-dart leg, a $100,000 (£74,700) reward awaits, with the added twist of a chance to double it by hitting the golden bullseye with one final dart. This prize is the largest ever offered in darts for a perfect nine-dart leg, making Littler, the recent record-breaking £1 million World Championship winner, eager to showcase his skills once again.

This new incentive in darts mirrors the strategy seen in the Riyadh Season Snooker Championship, where a 20-point golden cue ball, known as the “Riyadh Season golden ball,” can trigger a $1 million (£760,000) bonus by achieving the sport’s first-ever 167 break.

Former World Championship semi-finalist Mark Webster highlighted the enticing prize structure, emphasizing the potential $200,000 reward for a flawless ten-dart performance. Littler will be among the notable players participating in Riyadh, alongside other top darts talents.

Littler and his competitors are currently engaged in the Bahrain Masters tournament, following Littler’s recent double world championship victory. Amidst tough competition, Littler’s impressive performance includes a remarkable 170 ‘Big Fish’ check-out, setting the stage for an exciting lineup of matches in the tournament.
