The woman believed to be the individual featured alongside Peter Mandelson in a controversial image from the Epstein Files has spoken out, shedding light on the circumstances surrounding the notorious photograph.
In the photo, Mandelson can be seen wearing white pants and a black t-shirt while interacting with a woman. Mandelson, a former Lord, expressed uncertainty about the origins of the image and the identity of the woman in question, casting doubt on the authenticity of the documents.
The woman depicted in the image, whose identity was concealed when the photograph was released by the US government, alleged that Jeffrey Epstein likely took the picture himself.
Identified as a former Russian model, she claimed the photo was taken around 2010 in Epstein’s residence, specifically in a room she referred to as “the library,” with Epstein seated at his desk. She mentioned that Mandelson’s attire could have been related to a massage session, noting the presence of a frequent masseuse.
Expressing her opinion on the photograph, the woman stated that Epstein had a penchant for capturing provocative images that portrayed individuals in unflattering ways. She criticized the photo, describing Mandelson as unpleasant and expressing disgust at the sight of him in his undergarments.
The woman claimed to have been closely associated with Epstein for several years, highlighting his control over her life. She mentioned residing in Epstein’s New York City townhouse for a period and encountering Andrew Mountbatten Windsor during a visit in December 2010.
Following his dismissal as ambassador to the US due to his connections with Epstein, Mandelson subsequently resigned from the House of Lords. When questioned about the image from the Epstein Files, he expressed uncertainty about the context and individuals depicted, expressing regret over his association with Epstein.
Mandelson acknowledged being misled by Epstein and regretted maintaining ties with him post-conviction. Arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office at the age of 72, Mandelson emphasized his lack of awareness regarding Epstein’s criminal activities.
The woman accused Mandelson of displaying arrogance towards women in Epstein’s residences and labeled him a “freeloader” who frequented various properties owned by Epstein. Requests for comment from Peter Mandelson’s representatives by the Mirror remain unanswered.
