“Sky TV Discontinues Sky Live Accessory After Lackluster Response”

Date:

Sky TV users are in for some disappointing news as a recently launched product is set to be discontinued starting next month. Sky Live, introduced in 2023 as an innovative entertainment device for TV users, will no longer be available after December 4.

The Sky Live accessory, designed to connect with Sky’s Glass TV, offered interactive features like games such as Fruit Ninja, Stingray Karaoke, and Peppa Pig: Jump and Giggle for a monthly subscription fee of £6. Additionally, it provided a unique way to exercise at home by monitoring posture and technique during fitness sessions.

Users could also make Zoom calls and enjoy content like Sky Sports with friends and family through the device’s camera. Despite its promising features, Sky Live did not gain the anticipated popularity, leading to its discontinuation.

While Sky Live is being phased out, Sky reassured customers that games like Who Wants To Be A Millionaire would still be available, but without an additional subscription. A Sky spokesperson highlighted the company’s ongoing commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction, emphasizing their focus on enhancing product offerings and service quality.

Affected users will receive email notifications regarding the changes, with information on refunds and a hassle-free return process for the accessory. Sky aims to redirect its investments towards delivering faster, more user-friendly products, compelling content, and top-notch service to meet customer needs effectively.
