Tragic Loss of Autistic Girl in Pond Sparks Community Mourning

Date:

Family friends of a young girl tragically discovered deceased in a pond revealed that the girl’s mother had been suggested a new child minder via Facebook just days before the incident occurred.

The seven-year-old named Nyla May Bradshaw was found in a pond at Owston Hall golf course near Doncaster on Monday. She, being autistic, was reported missing from the village of Skellow at 9:50 am the same day.

Tributes poured in from devastated family members, with Nyla’s mother, Hailey, expressing her grief for her “sweet little girl.” A close friend of Hailey, Charlotte Emma, disclosed that Hailey sought help in a local Facebook group to find a child minder and was recommended an individual claiming to be an expert in autism care.

Shortly after receiving a text notifying her of Nyla’s disappearance, the mother was informed that Nyla had been found in the pond.

Hailey’s father, Kieran Bradshaw, shared a heartfelt tribute on Facebook, describing Nyla as his “best friend” and an “amazing daughter.” He reminisced about their shared moments and expressed deep sorrow over the loss.

A fundraiser has been initiated on GoFundMe to aid the family with funeral expenses, acknowledging the immense pain they are enduring and the daunting task of arranging Nyla’s funeral.
