Apple has rolled out a crucial update for new iPhone users to address an issue hindering wireless charging on some devices. The glitch has caused certain users to rely solely on MagSafe wireless charging. Although Apple notes that only a small number of individuals have been impacted, it is advisable for all users to ensure their devices are updated.
The affected devices include the iPhone 17 range, encompassing the Pro and Pro Max models, as well as the iPhone Air. Apple clarified that the update resolves a specific problem related to wired charging when the battery is nearly depleted.
To install the update, users can easily navigate to Settings, select General, and then choose Software Update. The update, labeled iOS 26.5.1, is approximately 13.6GB in size, necessitating a Wi-Fi connection or unlimited mobile data for download.
