“Know Before You Sip: Airline Policies on Hot Drinks”

Date:

When heading to the airport for an early budget airline flight, many travelers look forward to their first cup of coffee. While some airlines permit hot drinks with secure lids onboard, others may require you to discard your beverages before boarding. Checking your airline’s policies is crucial to avoid wasting money on a coffee that may be prohibited during the flight.

easyJet allows passengers to bring hot drinks onboard if purchased at the airport with a lid on. Consider using a reusable cup with a tight seal for convenience. On the other hand, Jet2 does not allow hot drinks onboard for safety reasons but offers meal deals and a variety of beverages for purchase. Ryanair prohibits hot drinks onboard but provides an app for pre-ordering food and drinks during the flight.

TUI does not explicitly state rules on bringing hot drinks onboard, but it is recommended to opt for low-risk, cold food items. Flight attendants may have the discretion to allow hot drinks onboard. British Airways does not explicitly ban hot drinks and offers a High Life Café with a diverse selection of hot drinks for passengers.
