Apple’s range of services is gaining significant popularity alongside its well-known hardware products. The tech giant recently reported a highly successful year, attributing the surge in users to its audio, TV streaming, and news offerings.
Apple Music, now accessible on both iOS and Android devices, experienced its most successful year in 2025, setting new records for listenership and subscriber growth. The platform introduced several updates, such as Lyrics Translation and AutoMix, enhancing the user experience.
Similarly, Apple TV saw a substantial increase in engagement, with users spending 36% more time on the platform in December compared to the previous year. The addition of new shows and movies like the F1 film featuring Brad Pitt and the acclaimed drama Pluribus contributed to this growth.
The App Store also had a successful year, boasting over 850 million average weekly users globally. During the holiday season, the store witnessed a surge in customer activity, setting new records in digital goods and services spending.
Apple Podcasts also experienced a significant uptick in performance, achieving record numbers of listeners, plays, and subscribers throughout the year.
Furthermore, Apple expanded its services with updates like the expansion of Apple Fitness+ to more regions and the addition of over 50 new games to Apple Arcade. The Share Item Location feature in Find My was extended to 27 additional airlines, improving the tracking of lost luggage by 90%.
Apple Maps introduced the Detailed City Experience to new locations, including New Orleans, Singapore, and Monaco, offering users 3D landmark views and custom experiences like the F1 Monaco Grand Prix.
Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Services, commented on the remarkable growth and innovation seen in 2025, emphasizing the company’s commitment to enhancing user experiences across its range of services. Reflecting on the year, Cue noted the enthusiasm of customers engaging with various Apple offerings, from apps and games to streaming content and music, highlighting the positive impact on users’ daily lives.
