During his recovery, Joshua has been training with Oleksandr Usyk and recently made a public appearance in the UK at Derek Chisora’s fight against Deontay Wilder.
After attending Fury’s fight against Arslanbek Makhmudov at Tottenham, Joshua was urged by Fury to face him in the ring, but Joshua hesitated to commit to the match. Hearn, Joshua’s promoter, provided a positive update, mentioning that Joshua plans to return to the ring soon before facing Fury twice in anticipated bouts that are expected to be streamed on DAZN and Netflix.
Hearn also hinted at potential opponents for Joshua’s comeback fight, emphasizing the need for caution due to Joshua’s previous injuries. He stressed that any fight before facing Fury is contingent upon signing a contract with Fury. While there were discussions about holding the fight in Dublin at Croke Park, Hearn stated that the fight’s location depends on Turki Alalshikh’s preference.
